Pledge your support for healing our oceans by adding your name to the online petition for Oceans Alive.

I pledge to support America's commitment to restore the health of our oceans.

I will also support the efforts of Environmental Defense to protect ocean and coastal habitats, transform failing fisheries, reduce dead zones, enforce conservation laws, protect our shores from oil, increase ocean research and reform ocean management.

Speak Out - by sending a letter to President George W. Bush, asking him to leave an ocean legacy much like Teddy Roosevelt's on land. (Click here to read the letter.)

I will encourage friends and family to visit www.oceansalive.org, take the Oceans Alive Pledge and spread the word.

Eat smart - by purchasing seafood that is good for the environment and my health, and avoiding seafood that results in harm to ocean ecosystems or is high in contaminants.

I will print or download the Pocket Seafood Selector and use it to make good seafood choices (Adobe Acrobat required).

I will leave Seafood Selector cards with my bill when I go to restaurants to encourage them to sell sustainable seafood.
