We're sorry, this alert is no longer available. If you would like to learn more about ways you can take action, please visit Environmental Defense Action Network.

The short explanation of this alert was:

In California, we have a chance to cut traffic congestion and pollution by giving car owners who drive less a break on their car insurance rates.

The state Senate Appropriations Committee will soon consider AB 2800—the Voluntary Mileage Based Auto Insurance bill. This bill will allow drivers to select auto insurance policies that set lower premiums on drivers who drive fewer miles.

Take action now to help reward car owners for driving less and reducing vehicle pollution.
