The short explanation of this alert was:

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is seeking broad exemptions from state environmental review and citizen recourse on 11 transportation projects.

And he has asked President-Elect Obama to waive federal environmental review to put these projects in line to get federal stimulus package funding. This would put them ahead of other shovel-ready projects that have already gone through environmental review.

Please take action: Tell Governor Schwarzenegger, legislative leaders and your state legislators that you oppose weakening state and federal environmental reviews.
